Department Profile
Madeira & Indian Hill Joint Fire District is a combination department covering the 24 square miles that constitute the jurisdictions of the City of Madeira and the Village of Indian Hill, Ohio. We operate from 2 stations, both are manned twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The resident population of the joint fire district is 14,511 persons, according to the 2010 US census.
Incident Response
- 2007, we made 695 fire runs and 847 EMS runs
- 2008, we made 709 fire runs and 1,012 EMS runs
- 2009, we made 557 fire runs and 1,048 EMS runs
- 2010, we made 578 fire runs and 1,103 EMS runs
- 2011, we made 607 fire runs and 1,115 EMS runs
- 2012, we made 622 fire runs and 1049 EMS runs
Staffing Notes
Our staffing is a combination of career members and part-time members for on-station staffing.
Funding
Our funding comes from a 50% split of the approved annual budget paid by the two member jurisdictions from their general operating revenues.
